Foothills Farm has the best selection of horses available for sale or lease in the north. Through our large network of contacts, we can find you a horse to suit your needs and budget.

Leasing Services

Leasing is an excellent opportunity for people who are interested in experiencing the joys and responsibilities of horse ownership without having to purchase the horse.

We offer a variety of leasing services, including full lease and half lease. All leasing services are negotiated through Foothills Farm.

Full Lease

• Leasee pays for all of the horse’s boarding costs in addition to routine farrier and veterinary care

• No restriction on riding times and days

• Full access to the horse for special events and showings

Half Lease

• Leasee pays for half of the horse’s boarding costs, routine farrier and veterinary care

• Restricted use of horse (3 days per week)

• Some showing opportunities available

• School horses and boarder-owned horses available

If you’re looking for a particular type of horse, ie. a competition prospect, we can negotiate a full lease situation and bring the horse to our farm. In this situation, a lease fee would apply on top of normal expenses.
